About the Role
As a Campus Transport Support Officer at LSBU UAE, you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient transport services provided to students. You will act as the key liaison between transport providers, students, and the university’s operations team, ensuring smooth daily bus operations and high service standards.
This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage logistics efficiently. Your work will directly contribute to student satisfaction, safety, and the overall campus experience.
Key Responsibilities
Transport Coordination & Operations
- Coordinate daily bus schedules, routes, and pick up/drop off points.
- Liaise with transport vendors to ensure timely and safe operations.
- Monitor attendance and utilisation of transport services.
- Address and resolve transport related issues promptly and professionally.
- Support route optimisation based on student demand and operational efficiency.
Student Support & Communication
- Serve as the main point of contact for student transport enquiries.
- Provide clear information regarding schedules, policies, and updates.
- Manage transport registrations and maintain accurate records of enrolled students.
- Communicate timely updates in case of delays, route changes, or emergencies.
Compliance & Safety Monitoring
- Ensure all transport operations comply with university policies and UAE transport regulations.
- Monitor safety standards, driver conduct, and vehicle condition in coordination with vendors.
- Report incidents or concerns to the Operations Manager and maintain proper documentation.
- Assist in developing transport guidelines and service improvement plans.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate transport databases and route lists.
- Prepare weekly and monthly utilisation and performance reports.
- Track service feedback and suggest improvements.
- Support budget tracking related to transport operations.
Event & Special Transport Coordination
- Coordinate additional transport requirements for university events, field visits, and special activities.
- Manage temporary route adjustments during exams or peak enrolment periods.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking applicants who can demonstrate:
- A minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience in logistics, transport coordination, operations, or administrative support.
- Strong organisational and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems.
- A high level of responsibility, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to operational challenges.
- Experience within an educational institution or transport environment.
